40 Hour Kit: How to Connect with Your Next Customers & Meet a Fellow 40HE Founder

Hey Reader, I hope you're having a great Monday!

In this week's 40 Hour Kit, we're excited to feature a Community Spotlight, introducing you to one of the driven founders in our 40 Hour Entrepreneur Club and what inspiring companies they're building.

πŸ’‘ Entrepreneurial Insight

On the way to product-market fit with your new business or project:
Get interest from 150 people (via waiting lists, sign-ups, WhatsApp group members, etc.), then have deeper conversations with a statistically significant subset (around 30) to refine your concept.

βš–οΈ Balance Hack

When founding a company, things can get messy. You're basically running all your departments at the same time: marketing, product, sales, operations, and more. To not lose track of any of those, I plan all my weekly activities based on these pillars:

  • Strategize (your next steps)
  • Connect (with your target audience)
  • Build (your product)
  • Market (your vision and product)
  • Win (new customers)
  • Deliver (exceptional value to your existing customers)

Some weeks can be full of building, some of marketing. However, in the end, it's about keeping the balance and not letting one of those pillars fall behind.

πŸš€ Challenge

Use DMs on LinkedIn, Instagram, X or any other social media platform to get in touch with new potential customers:

  1. Choose your audience's favorite platform.
  2. Write a personalized, authentic, and value-focused DM.
  3. Include a Call To Action (Sign-up link, Meeting link, ...).
  4. Text 10 potential customers.

✨ Recommendation

You always wanted to create personal content about your entrepreneurial journey? But something is holding you back?

Can highly recommend 'Show Your Work' by Austin Kleon. It's an easy and fast read, focused on guiding and motivating you to share more about your work.

❓ Question for you to ask another Entrepreneur

Beyond the daily grind, what's one passion or hobby you actively protect time for, and how does it refresh your entrepreneurial spirit?

⭐️ Community Spotlight

A few months ago, Cian embarked on his vision to build a purpose-driven business. That's how CEOL was born – a thriving community connecting music lovers based on shared tastes. The idea is already resonating, with Cian having his first paying customers and receiving great feedback on their experience. Check out his project here.

Curious about how Cian navigated his early entrepreneurial challenges, or how he balances growth with a sustainable lifestyle? If you have questions for Cian about his entrepreneurial journey, just hit reply and we'll forward them to him.
