40 Hour Kit: Are You Overpaying Yourself?

(Here for the subject line? Find it in the❓ Question for you to ask another Entrepreneur section)

Hey Reader,

Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about the famous concept of being the 'Purple Cow' in content & marketing. Meaning, doing the things that nobody else is doing (or at least swimming against the mainstream). As I started to interview bootstrapped founders for a new format, I asked myself: how can this format be a 'purple cow' in a crowded content market?

If you have creative ideas or just want to share what kind of format you'd like to listen to or watch, hit reply and let me know. I appreciate every idea. And if I end up using your idea, you're invited to be one of my next guests ;)

💡 Entrepreneurial Insight

Not sure when to improve and when to scale a process?
Ask yourself: Which path creates less friction?
Most of the time it's scaling what works until you have significant revenue. Then, reinvest to improve the details.

Based on Jan Otte (7-figure bootstrapped founder) who shared his insights during a Q&A session within the 40HE Club.

⚖️ Balance Hack

Gratitude boosts charisma and happiness.
Take one minute to scan your environment. Find 3 things that appear pleasant to you (even the small ones). Could be the smell of the coffee, a bit of sunlight streaming through the window, or the shape of a leaf outside.

Based on a technique taught by entrepreneur and best-selling author Olivia Fox Cabane in 'The Charisma Myth'.

🚀 Challenge

Pick one task you are an expert at (e.g., writing a sales email, running a team meeting). Next time, do it in a completely different way than usual (e.g., record a voice memo on LinkedIn, hold the meeting walking outside instead of using Google Meet).
This forces your brain into 'Beginner's Mind', helping you spot inefficiencies you were blind to.

Inspired by a concept in Zen Buddhism, adapted by Salesforce founder and CEO Marc Benioff.

✨ Recommendation

In the age of AI, it's hard to stand out with content.
If you're using AI for content creation, start your Idea Museum. A simple doc where you paste what inspires you, every idea that pops up at breakfast, and your interesting thoughts that come up during the day.
Use your Idea Museum as context for your AI content agents - for them to execute on your unique taste and obsessions.

Inspired by content creator and tech founder Dan Koe on his podcast.

❓ Question for you to ask another Entrepreneur

If you assigned a literal € cost to your time based on your revenue goal (e.g., €350/hour), which tasks on your To-Do list this week are you 'overpaying' yourself to perform?

Have a nice & productive week!

Best,

Fabiano

Find it in the ❓ Question section) Hey Reader, Last week I interviewed a founder at an event in Berlin, whose startup does $10M+ in annual revenue. And what really stuck with me was his urgency on focusing on just two important metrics as a B2B Founder: revenue and product. I often catch myself tracking the progress I'm making on...

Find it in the ❓ Question section) Hey Reader, A good friend of mine who's building an AgTech startup recently told me about getting back into the 'go for the no' mindset. Means: asking for things even when you're sure you won't get them. For example, he asked the landlord of an apartment he was viewing for a rent...
