40 Hour Kit: 3 Founder Lessons (& Applications Are Open)

Hey Reader, last week I spoke to a founder who is going all-in on becoming the next unicorn startup. When I told him about my approach to entrepreneurship he asked: why would I not work 24/7 on my business? And I understood him. It's legit. But a few years ago I also figured out that this is not my path. And the content I collect every week for this newsletter reminds me of it.

So, here you go. Hope you enjoy this week's 40 Hour Kit:

πŸ’‘ Entrepreneurial Insight

Each piece of content you create should follow the following structure:

  1. Hook Attention.
  2. Retain Attention.
  3. Reward Attention.

Attract your audience. Spark curiosity. Reward them with what you promised initially.

Based on Alex Hormozi's content strategy

βš–οΈ Balance Hack

Feeling distracted from other stuff coming up during your focus work? Shift the mindset from being distracted to being distractible.
Protect your focus. But don't let your mood be dependent on whether your planned focus stays or not. Embrace the distraction and then move back to focus.

Based on Oliver Burkeman in 'Meditations for Mortals'

πŸš€ Challenge

This week, find one piece of genuine positive feedback you've received - an email, a social media comment, a review. Write it down on a sticky note and put it on your monitor. When you feel a moment of doubt, look at it. It’s proof that you're on the right track and providing value.

Inspired by Melody Wilding's concept of having a 'Brag File'.

✨ Recommendation

3 recommendations from our Club Q&A sessions last month:

  • Start by solving your own problem, then scale.
Founder of a personalized biscuit company began with a product that served her own creativity. She then proved the concept from her home kitchen first before scaling to serve clients like Google or Meta.
  • Master one channel, then diversify.
Chief of Growth of a fashion app achieved 10.000+ daily active users by focusing on and mastering a single channel - TikTok - making it their repeatable growth engine.
  • Prioritize freedom of time, not money.
The core belief of a software company founder who has served over 1,000 clients while traveling the world viewing profit as the tool to achieve his lifestyle.

⭐️ Club Update

This month's application window opened today and will close again this Thursday, 12 PM CEST.

If you're missing a peer group of founders and experts that truly understands your path, I invite you to apply for our Club:

Hey Reader, recently I talked to a friend about the startup I founded and was working on from 2020 to mid 2025 and why I decided to end it.
